Dr. Dayton was born and raised in Boise, Idaho (Go Broncos!) and grew up spending any spare moment he could on the family potato farm in Eastern Idaho. He then attended Brigham Young University (Go Cougs!) and received a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. Simultaneously, his wife of now 6 years also completed Physician Assistant school in Pittsburgh. Go ‘Lers, if yinz know what I mean!
Following graduation in 2025, Dr. Dayton elected to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City. This provided unique experience in hospital dentistry, dental trauma, emergency dentistry, and continued experience in Rural and Special Needs dentistry. Dr. Dayton enjoyed rotating with Anesthesiologists, ENT, and providing dental care in Monument Valley with the Utah Navajo Health System during this time. Dr. Dayton was fortunate to work alongside Prosthodontists, Periodontists, Oral Surgeons, and a Pediatric Dentist during the past year in Salt Lake. Dr. Dayton maintains training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and was provided many experiences of learning how to manage dental care in the midst of other medical conditions. Residency also welcomed the birth of their first child.
Dr. Dayton is equally excited to pursue his passion for the outdoors in Missoula. Whether its skiing, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, or a good backpacking excursion, Missoula immediately feels like home. He looks forward to Griz games, and above all else, sharing his enthusiasm for providing quality dental care and meeting your Oral Health needs and goals.
